Say Cheers Bar

Concept:
Prior to designing Say Cheers Bar, both primary and secondary research was conducted around sustainable materials selection, air quality enhancements and the ability of design to encourage social inclusion.
The indoor area was designed to accommodate people having dinner and drinks. The space incorporates abundant greenery such as bamboo, devil’s ivy which are air purifying, as well as lounge seating, and bar seating with high stools covered with recycled leather upholstery. The ceiling incorporates an acoustic sensor above the suspended timber slat which automatically adjust the acoustic volume when the bar gets too crowded.
A bi-fold window infused with English ivy creates a screen which functions as a room divider between the indoor area and the outdoor seating area. A standalone bar was created outdoors which minimises overcrowding for patrons.
This bar was designed with sustainability in mind with carefully selected recycled timber slats forming suspended ceiling.
